Weekend in Review: Hard Work Live, Madison, WI

15U Wilde

Wilde’s group had another outstanding weekend at the 15U level, finishing 4-0 in the first live period event of the year. They opened up with a 60-36 win over Team Eleate on Friday night. They would go on to defeat South Dakota Attack 60-32 and Wisconsin Crusaders AD 55-33. Sunday, Wilde’s group ended their phenomenal weekend with a 84-29 victory over ET21 Buckeyes. Wilde’s group currently sits at 13-1 on the season and will open up SPTS play this weekend in Wayzata, MN.

15U Kaupa

Coach Kaupa’s team had a challenging weekend in which they started the first live period with a 2-2 showing in Madison. They would open up Friday night with a 51-41 victory over the Wisconsin Blaze. Saturday Kaupa’s team would fall to Hoop Avenues Elite 58-37 and then made a furious comeback late before falling short 62-59 against Iowa Mavs - Elgin. Fury Kaupa would finish the weekend with a great Sunday showing against Wisconsin Academy Blue, winning 59-35. Kaupa’s team sits at 5-3 on the season and will be competing at Farmington High School this weekend in the Meg Vang Heat Tournament.

16U Poppen

Fury Poppen opened up the first live period in Madison with a 3-1 showing at the Hard Work Live event. They opened Saturday with a 49-27 victory over Wisconsin Academy Blue. Later on Saturday they would fall in a 68-59 battle against South Dakota Attack. Poppen’s group would bounce back on Sunday with a couple over victories over quality opponents, defeating Indiana Red Storm 56-46 and capping off the weekend with a 51-39 victory over ET21 Buckeyes. Poppen’s group is 10-3 and opens SPTS this weekend in Wayzata, MN.

16U Syverson

Syverson’s group had a dominate weekend in the live period opener in Madison. They would open up Hard Work Live with a 58-12 victory over the Joilet Spurs. Saturday Syverson’s group would defeat NBN Elite 59-39 as well as defeating Iowa Pump n Run 57-21. On Sunday, Syverson’s group kept their foot on the gas pedal with a 80-39 victory over Iowa Mavs-Vilagrana. Syverson’s group sits at 6-2 and will be at Mounds Park Academy in the Meg Vang Heat tournament this weekend.

17U Zurn

Coach Zurn’s team was a force to be reckoned with in the first live period in Madison, WI. They opened up Saturday with a 54-32 victory over ET21 Buckeyes and would go onto win Saturday night over the Ohio Celtics by a score of 68-44. As Sunday rolled around, Zurn’s group rolled with it defeating Wisconsin Crusaders AD 72-37 as well as beating North Florida Hurricanes by a score of 64-31. Zurn’s group sits at 10-2 overall and will open up SPTS play this coming weekend in Wayzata, MN.

17U Kallman

Kallman’s team had a fantastic weekend at the Hard Work Live event in Madison, WI during the first live period. Kallman would open up Saturday with a 59-52 victory over Full Package-Dmitry. Later Saturday evening they would defeat Wear Out the Net - Davis 53-50 in a tight matchup.  Sunday morning, Kallman’s group would continue their great play with a 71-62 victory over ABC Young Lions. They would cap off the weekend with a 71-58 victory over Gallo Sports Center. Kallman’s group has an overall record of 6-2 and will be at Mounds Park Academy this weekend in the Meg Vang Heat Tournament.
