Fury Wilde team finished the season with a 35-8 record. We started the season by winning the Comets shootout. The team also won two other tournaments in the Scheels League session 1, followed by the Fury Shootout. Overall, it was a very productive season. This team had multiple players step up through the year, and everyone bought into playing team basketball. It was fantastic seeing players play for each other. Here’s a quick breakdown of each player:

Isaac Cordes: Fantastic floor general who did a great job handling pressure and facilitating the ball. Made major improvements in the areas of shooting and finishing. Led the team in blocked shots. Was notorious for putting kids in spin cycle. One of the better PGs in the state.

Nik Domier: At 6’5 Nik can defend multiple positions. However, Nik excels at rebounding and finishing around the hoop. Nik has fantastic instincts and is one of the best at his positions. He is one that you don’t have to run a play for but still has a huge impact on the game.

Hudson Hochstedler: Fought back from a significant back injury and made an impact on this team in the last 3 tournaments. Hudson is a natural leader who loves to compete. He’s an intelligent well-rounded player that fits the mold of this team. Shoots the 3-point shot at a high percentage. Now back to full strength, Hudson should have a big Junior season at STMA.

Preston Johnson: Preston fought through a few significant injuries this past season only to come back and be one of the top defenders on this team. Preston is a relentless competitor and will give up his body to make a play for the team. Outside of his tough-nosed defense, he has greatly improved his all-around offensive game.

Tray Lenzen- At 6’6 Tray is one of the most athletic players on the team. He has a high skill set of getting to the rim and finishing over others. Tray has a great motor and has improved his all-around offensive skill set. Tray has a tremendous upside to his game.

Isaiah Mahal- Isaiah just might be one of the best natural shooters in the state. Shot the 3 at a very high percentage. Plays with a high IQ and can also play multiple positions. Isaiah is the ultimate team player who brings a positive attitude to each practice and game. Isaiah is still
growing and has a lot of potential in his game.

Devin Pass- Devin plays with confidence and a chip on his shoulder. Devin was one of our most consistent shooters this season. Shot the 3 at a very high percentage, and worked hard at the defensive end. Another high IQ player who can play multiple positions.

Keaton Ressler- Keaton was at his best this summer when the ball was in his hands on the break. With great speed and vision, he was able to pick apart the defense. Keaton is a high IQ player
who can get hot quickly, or attack and kick for the assist at a high percentage. Fantastic change of-pace player.

Luke Wherley- Made a huge improvement from the previous year. Was able to score from both inside and out. Had multiple games with he Could also defend all positions if needed. Luke is a competitor who wants to win. Rebounds really well for a wing and is overall a very tough player. Made first team all-state at 16u for the aau season.

Cole Wilcek- Cole makes great decisions when the ball is in his hands. Cole was one of our leaders in assists and rebounds. He also made great improvements at attacking the rim. He was a
mismatch for most bigs and always battled defensively. Cole is a natural leader and loves to compete. He made 2nd team all-state this season.
