Shakopee recently finished their regular season schedule at 19-7 overall, 1st in their section, and 2nd in the rugged South Suburban Conference thanks in large part to 6'7" junior forward Steffon Mitchell.
After fine-tuning a number of aspects to his game last summer with MN Fury, Mitchell was able to return to Shakopee as a versatile forward that can score in a number of ways. Averaging 24.8 PPG, 8.8 RPG, and 2.3 SPG while shooting 51% from the field, it is no wonder that a number of D1 programs have been in hot pursuit.
Mitchell's current offer list includes American University, Central Michigan, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Furman, and as of last night North Dakota State.
No one would be suprised to see that number grow as Steffon leads the Sabres into Sectional play, before returning for another AAU season with MN Fury.
