It has become that time of the year when teams need to either win or go home. For many the stakes do not get any higher than making a deep section run in hopes of garnering a spot in the MN State Tournament. We here at Fury would like to highlight a number of players in our program, as they helped lead their team's to wins late in the season.

Logan Halvorson - Rosemount - The griddy PG for the Irish wasn't ready for his HS season to end as he lead his team to the upset victory over conference foe Eastview. Halvorson lead his team in scoring with 24 points in the 61-59 victory.

Trevor Rothstein - STMA - After earning the top seed in their section, STMA is going to rely on their senior scorer to help carry them forward. In what ended up being a 95-68 route of Bemidji, Rothstein went 6-9 from the field accounting for an efficient 12 points.

Sam Skoyen - Hastings - This is the year the Raiders have been building for. After finishing with a 20-5 regular season record they drew Farmington in a first round matchup. The contest was back and forth all game long with Skoyen heating up in the 2nd half. During one stretch he hit four 3's in five possessions to lead them to a 76-68 OT win. Sam finished with a game high 26 points.

Zac Olson - WEM - A model of consistenecy all year long, Olson, a 6'5 sophmore, has been a focal point of the WEM attack. This week the story was not any different as Zac finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds in a first round victory.

Steffon Mitchell - Shakopee - The Sabers seem poised to make a deep run this year after an extremely successful regular season. After earning the #1 seed in their section Steffon came out and scored 24 points in the first round leading Shakopee to a 74-40 victory.

Myles Hanson - Chaska - After winning their conference the Hawks drew a tough first round match up in formidable foe Burnsville. After being down 10 midway through the 2nd half, Hanson, along with the Chaska guards turned on another gear on their way to a 61-51 victory. Hanson finished with 11 points.

Trevor Schermann - Lakeville North - Trevor worked hard as an underclassman to crack his way into the deep Panther line-up. That work is now paying dividents come section time as he scored a team high 13 points leading them to a 57-30 first round win.
