17U Fury Kallman

Friday, April 15 MN Fury Kallman matched up vs. Nebraska Select.  With double digit point contributions from 5 different players (Brian Sitzmann 15, Rocky Krueser 13, Andrew Kallman 11, Ryan Domres 10 & Mykal Howard 10) they were able to pull out a 61 to 52 victory. Myka Edmond also contributed an excellent floor game and provided pressure defense from the point guard position!

Saturday, April 16 brought a 9:05am game vs. Iowa Dynasty.  Despite 15 points from Trey Prince and 9 points from Jack Lynch MN Fury Kallman struggled to get it going in this game and suffered their only loss of the weekend 62 to 57 in overtime.  The 11:15am game matched up Next Level Elite Gold from Missouri (2-0) vs. Fury Kallman (1-1). In one of their best performances of the young season Fury Kallman won big, 75 to 46!  This was after NL Elite started the game up 7 to 0.  Andrew Kallman and Rocky Krueser both had 17 points, Trey Prince 11 & Brian Sitzmann 10.

On Sunday, April 17 Fury Kallman, behind 14 points from Rocky Krueser and 11 from Brian Sitzmann, beat AFES (Iowa) 57 to 32 to advance to the title game at2:30pm. Zayne Engel also got himself going in this game with a 5point/6rebound effort.  In the Championship game Fury Kallman matched up against their 1st MN team of the weekend Twin Cities Finest-Gold.  Once again Fury Kallman was able to get to the mercy rule with a very convincing 67 to 33 victory! Andrew Kallman (17pts), Alex Jensen (13pts) & Trey Prince (10pts/10reb) led the team to the Midwest Elite Championship!

17U Fury Zurn

On Saturday, April 16 Fury Zurn opened pool play against tournament host Kingdom Hoops Elite. In a back an forth battle both teams were knotted up at 67-67 to end regulation. After holding a brief lead in OT, Fury fell to eventual to the eventual tournament champions 76-71. They were lead by Broc Finstuen (23pts/6rebs) Jordan Horn (15pts/4assts) and Oakley Baker (11pts).

Later on in the day they would go on to win handily against Spiece Indy Heat 53-37, and WI Academy 73-44. In the first matchup Fury was lead by Horn's 19 pts and Finstuen's 12. In the later match-up Fury's wing play was too much for WI as Mitchell Sueker 10 pts, Myles Hanson 13 pts, and Oakley Baker 17 pts (4-4 3's) led the way.

Fury Zurn wrapped up the tournament with a 82-52 victory over OSA lead by their two bigs, Kade Hart (10pts/5rebs) and Weston Baker-McGrath (16pts/8reb). They also had strong guard play throughout the weekend from Owen Chose, who finished this game with 11 pts and 5 assts.
