Today, we continue our look into Minnesota Fury newcomers and returners across the state of Minnesota. We are very excited to continue to share our players’ high school success this season!

Sam Nissen, 6’1 G, Prior Lake High School

Sam is the point guard for the 13-3 Lakers of Prior Lake and has had a great start to his junior season. Sam is averaging 13.6 PPG while his Lakers are currently on a 4-game win streak. Sam uses his skill set to attack the rim and create space in order to get himself in position to score. Sam scored a season high 26 in a win over Shakopee earlier this season. Prior Lake hosts Monday February 5th, 2018.

Jaylen James, 6’0 G, Eagan High School

Jaylen is a sophomore leader of the young Wildcats. Jaylen uses his change of pace and quick release to be the Wildcats leading scorer this year while averaging 12.4 PPG. Jaylen scored a season high 27 in a game against Henry Sibley earlier this season. Jaylen looks to get the Wildcats back on track Monday February 5th, 2018 at Rosemount and then plays host to Lakeville South on Friday February 9th, 2018.

Luke Gitzen, 6’3 G, Chanhassen High School

Luke is returning to the Minnesota Fury program for a second season. He has been a key piece for the Chanhassen Storm averaging 6.4 PPG as the only underclassman on the roster. Gitzen recorded a season high 15 points earlier this season against Eden Prairie. Luke  and the Storm have a pair of home games this week on Monday against St. Louis Park, and again Friday vs. Richfield.
